Hi folks,

Thanks to all of you who responded!  I received 42 total responses to my
question whether or not institutions routinely provided reminders to
faculty of there upcoming technical report due date.

Here is the promised summary:

Interim Reports         Yes     15      No      27
Final Repors            Yes     20      No      22

Generally the reasons given for providing the reminders were:

1.      Fear of or as a result of an audit finding
2.      Protecting the Research Administration Office

Generally the reasons given for not providing the reminder were:

1.      Inadequate staffing to support the effort
2.      PI should be responsible for his/her project reports
3.      PIs did not need/want the remindrs

Here at Children's we are going to begin providing the reminders since some
PIs and administrators feel it will be helpful.
