Hello:

1.  We are in the process of reviewing our overhead return distribution policy.
Currently we return 9% of the recovered overhead from the year before to the
Principal Investigators who generated the overhead.  1% remains in the Vice
Provost's Office to help with emergency needs.  There is no overhead
distributed to the colleges, centers, or other units.  Could you share with
us your current policy in terms of percentage/formula for distribution.

2.  Also, is there any other mechanism for distributing research funds to
investigators?  If yes, could you let me know what it is and how it works?
For example, we just completed a survey of 250 research centers at 140
research universities and found that Centers received a mediam of $250,000 from
 their host university.
