Discussion group participation

This list serve has been a wonderful resource for those who wish to =
participate by asking questions or presenting situations that lead to =
discussion, by answering questions or sharing experiences, or just by =
reading all entries without directly interfacing. For those who are new =
to the profession or are in small offices that can't afford travel or =
other personal interaction, it must be a life saver. Although I have =
always felt that knowledge or experience not shared with those less =
knowledgeable is a static resource of limited value, those who do not =
wish to respond to questions do not have to--you don't even have to read =
the entries. I would hope, however, that we would all have the patience, =
humor and courtesy to interact via this resource in a professional, =
productive manner.
