I have been away from this network for quite some time and have
missed
the discussions that must have occurred regarding this subject. I
apologize for what must be old hat to most of you. Nevertheless, I need
your assistance.
Once again the U. of Arkansas is flirting with the idea of creating a
separately incorporated non-profit research foundation to administer
research and other sponsored funding. I would appreciate hearing from
anyone about the issues involved in creating a research foundation and
converting from a state university model to a separate foundation model.
Pros and cons, factors that must be considered, pitfalls, costs, regs, and
anything else you think should be considered. If you know of recent
publications on this matter, please include them. Thanks to each and
every one of you for your assistance.
