OPERATIONS MANAGER ADVANCED INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING CENTER The Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) Center, a partnership between Sinclair Community College and the University of Dayton, has an immediate opening for the position of Operations Manager. This position reports to the Director, and has responsibility for managing the business operations of the AIM Center including client activity, grants, and contracts. A primary role of the Operations Manager is grant administration of the National Center of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing Education, funded in part by the National Science Foundation. Primary duties: Proactive post-award management of several grant projects, contracts and partnerships, including the development and administration of grant and contract sub-awards; managing all business aspects of grants and contracts with industry, including: budgeting; financial analysis, reporting and control; invoicing; staffing; strategic planning; and effective coordination with supporting departments such as Accounting, Human Resources and Purchasing. Requirements Baccalaureate degree in engineering, business, or related field is required. An MBA and/or substantial industry experience in a project management or general management role which combines accountabilities for cost, schedule, performance and customer regulatory compliance strongly preferred. Success is dependent upon at least a working knowledge of, and experience with, grant and contract cost principles, compliance requirements and strict adherence to ethical standards; grant management or administration experience is highly desired; contract administration will be considered. Understanding of general accounting principles, budgeting and financial analysis/control are essential. Proficiency in PC business applications required (MS Office suite preferred). Outstanding organizational skills are a must. Must be a team player with outstanding oral and written communication skills, have a strong commitment to customer service, and be comfortable working in an autonomous, dynamic environment. Special consideration will be given to those with other related skills, including grant writing or events coordination experience. This is a grant-funded position contingent upon renewal and/or extension of funding, and will remain open until filled.
