 DUTIES:  Incumbent will review proposals to, and negotiate contracts
 with, industry and government research sponsors.  Advises faculty and
 staff; ensures compliance with policies and regulations; reviews
 commitments of University resources; and negotiates, executes and
 administers a wide variety of agreements. Recruits/trains/supervises
 Grants Officers and assists in developing campus training courses.

 REQUIREMENTS:  Thorough knowledge of federal policies and regulations
 related to research and intellectual property; demonstrated ability to
 develop and negotiate a wide variety of agreements; proven ability to
 develop creative strategies for complex negotiations with industry;
 computer proficiency; advanced negotiation skills; experience
 performing financial/budget analysis; proven ability to maintain
 confidentiality; excellent writing skills to prepare clear, concise
 correspondence; excellent interpersonal skills.

     DESIRABLE:  Master's degree or J.D. or an equivalent combination of
     education/experience in research administration.
