The position opening described below is for a position that will be
available at Central Michigan University, Office of Research and Sponsored
Programs, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Central Michigan University seeks an energetic, highly motivated individual
to join the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.  The individual will
be part of a team committed to stimulating growth in the area of grants and
contracts.  In addition, the individual will help assure compliance with
federal, state, and university regulations.

Central Michigan University is a comprehensive state university with over
800 faculty serving an on-campus enrollment of approximately 17,000
undergraduate and graduate students.  The main campus is situated on an 854
acre site in Mt. Pleasant, a city of 25,000 people in the heart of Michigan.

Qualifications:  The university seeks a professional who has a master's
degree and at least three years professional experience; has strong written
and oral communication skills, and a strong service orientation and work
ethic; has the ability to create and maintain positive interpersonal
relationships; is eager to learn and grow in this field; is competent using
computers and attentive to details; and has the ability to understand,
interpret, and communicate federal and state program requirements.  Desired
qualifications include knowledge of database searching; prior higher
education experience; and grant writing experience.

Salary:  Competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
