ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY, OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
Title: Sponsored Projects Officer
Closing Date: 03/07/97
Salary: $31,000-$40,300 DOE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with faculty and University personnel to identify external funding
sources for research projects: also work with Federal and State agencies,
foundations and industrial firms for customized proposal targeting.
Provide assistance and advisory support by: Assisting in proposal
development and review for budget, business and compliance issues;
Developing and negotiating grants and contracts; Administering subsequent
awards; advising project directors on financial management issues and
other award terms, resolving problems with project directors and
sponsors; Maintaining a current knowledge of federal and state
regulations pertaining to proposal/grant/contract requirements and
restrictions, as well as private sponsor requirements.
GENERAL INFORMATION: THIIS POSITION WILL WORK AT THE WEST CAMPUS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years experience in any
combination of the following areas: Procurement (federal, state, or
industrial), proposal submissions, grant or contract administration,
Financial administration; demonstrated interpersonal communication
skills; OR, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience from
which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
DESIRED:
Work experience at an educational or non-profit organization performing
research administration duties; knowledge of proposal budgeting, federal
and sponsor regulations guidelines; knowledge of university policies and
procedures; computer and Internet usage skills.
