In Search Of Phase II and Phase III Drug Studies

Is your Research Office part of a major medical center? If so, what
effective ways have you found to provide Phase II and Phase III funding
leads to your investigators?
CenterWatch is one publication our office uses to provide leads to our
investigators. The subscription is currently $295 per year. For those of
you not familiar with the publication, CenterWatch has a Trial Watch
section which provides 30 to 40 pre-qualified leads every two months
about sponsors and CROs actively seeking investigators for their
upcoming trials. I would like to hear from others who have used
CenterWatch as a source for providing clinical trial leads. Has anyone
secured any clinical trials as a result of this publication? Thus far we
have not been able to document any new clinical trials as a direct result
of these leads.
Has anyone used a publication called R&D Directions to provide clinical
trial leads?
Also, I would be interested in hearing from Medical Centers who are
Community of Science Member Institutions. Do you have any success
stories regarding your investigators obtaining clinical trials as a result of
a drug company representatives finding them via their Research
Expertise information? Has your institution obtained any funding as a
direct result of any member company finding an investigator in the
Expertise Profile?
One final question: What other effective publications, web sites, etc.
has your medical institution uncovered for providing researchers with
current clinical trial information?
