DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF GRANTS AND SPONSORED PROJECTS
Bridgewater State College seeks a Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects
with significant experience in developing and managing externally-funded
projects in a college or university setting. Reporting directly to the
Provost, the Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects establishes contacts
with funding agencies and foundations, assists in the preparation of
proposals, and monitors the implementation of funded projects to ensure that
records are maintained and reports are filed according to agency guidelines.
Bridgewater State College is a comprehensive public college serving
approximately 8600 students. Its 270 full-time faculty offer over one
hundred Baccalaureate and Master's level programs. The new J. Joseph
Moakley Center for Technological Applications provides advanced computing
and telecommunications technologies to support the academic programs. The
campus is located in southeastern Massachusetts, in an attractive New
England town, easily accessible to Boston, Cape Cod, and Providence.
The successful candidate will possess a master's degree (doctorate
preferred); a minimum of three years experience in successful grant
development (at least one year to include grants administration); and
experience in developing and monitoring grants policies and procedures.
Ability to provide leadership and direction to the Grants and Sponsored
Projects programs is essential; equally essential is the ability to work in
partnership with faculty, administrative staff and external organizations to
achieve the college's goals. Excellent (and demonstrable) writing and
speaking skills are required. personal qualities we seek include good
judgment, integrity, creativity, and a sense of humor.
