Title:  SPONSORED PROJECTS OFFICER

Salary:  $31,000-$40,300 DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ASU seeks an individual to serve as the focal point for the Vice Provost

for Research for the coordination and distribution of funding
opportunities to faculty and staff.  Incumbent will publish four
area-specific electronic newsletters, order/track all program
announcements and RFP's and maintain knowledge/expertise of federal,
state and private agency programs and regulations.  Will train faculty
and staff to conduct funding searches using the Web;  serve as a liaison

to the Community of Science;  manage limited and coordinated submissions;

 and coordinate the implementation of Fastlane and Federal Electronic
Research Administration initiatives, including the Federal Demonstration

partnership and the EDI transaction set.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field AND four years

of experience in identifying funding sources, developing/negotiating
creative grant contracts and administering current contract
administration OR any equivalent combination of education and/or
experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have
been achieved.  Must have experience in training, including demonstrated

expertise and familiarity with Web and Internet functions.

DESIRED:
Work experience at an educational or non-profit organization performing

research administration duties and a knowledge of proposal budgeting and

federal/sponsor regulation/guidelines.  A knowledge of university
policies/procedures and computer/Internet usage skills are a plus.
