We are interested in getting some comparative stats on the ratio of
industrial (and specifically, clinical trial) support to total institutional
research support.  I would appreciate getting data on the following
questions:

1)  What percent of total institutional research support is attributable to
private industry?

2)  What percent of total institutional research support is for the clinical
evaluation of new drugs or medical/dental devices, and attributable to
industrial [read: pharmaceutical] sponsors?

I will obviously summarize and post the data on this discussion  group.
