Is there anyone out there from an institution that has been successful
in getting an endowed scholarship from either The Hearst Foundation, Inc.
or the William Randolph Hearst Foundation (both in NYC)?  These are $35,000
endowments, usually for minority students with financial need.  Some of the
previously-funded institutions are Ohio Wesleyan, Thiel College, Wilkes
University, Duquesne, Russell Sage.  We are getting ready to assist our
Economics Department in submitting such a proposal and would appreciate
contact with past awardees.  Thanks very much.
