An excellent document is "On Being A Scientist:  Responsible Conduct of
Research" published by the National Academy Press, which is currently in its
Second Edition.  This was put together by the Committee on Science,
Engineering and Public Policy of the National Academy of Sciences, National
Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine.  It sells for $5.00
per single copy, $4.00 each for 2-9 copies, and $2.50/each for 10+ copies.
We routinely distribute this to new graduate students and faculty.  These
may be obtained from the National Academy Press, 2101 Constitution Avenue
