Re: US Med Students/Israel

Eric: I am in the preaward office of a medical school and one of my
responsibilities is director of the Summer Student Research Program.
Our first year med students participate in research between their first
and second year of school. Many work with mentors here on campus, but
several seek and succeed in finding opportunities in other cities.
There are always one or two Jewish students who wish to spend the summer
in Israel in a research or clinical setting. Do you know if there are
any such programs that are available for these students? Is their any
stipend money? We would really like to help these students identify
opportunities in Israel. It is the last significant block of free time they
will have for a decade and to spend it helping out in a setting where their
hearts long to be would be great. I look forward to hearing from you.
Please forward this to anyone else whom you think might be helpful in
identifying such opportunities. Thanks
Yes, I think the Foundation Center is the best source of information on
Foundations in the US. --
