Lou, my advice is to procure a copy of Paradox, or some other competent
database program, and build it yourself. It will take a considerable
investment in time, true--but you'd have to invest almost the same amount of
time in a pre-packaged grants database, I think. And with one you design and
build yourself, you can modify it as your needs change. I guarantee that they
will, having been down that road. (I once had my computer center design and
build a database of services provided to students; took a long time, was
clunky, and as soon as I started using it I discovered new things I wanted to
include. But I couldn't, had to be built into the system from the beginning.
