Allegheny-Singer Research Institute (ASRI), a member of the Allegheny Health, Education, and Research Foundation, and the research arm of Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) and the Allegheny Campus of the Allegheny University of the Health Sciences, is seeking professionals to fill the following positions in our Central Administration offices. ASRI is a non-profit organization with assets totaling $37 million and annual operating expenses of $27 million. ASRI manages a medical research portfolio funded by federal funds, foundations, association and industry. ASRI is and EEOC employer. POST-AWARD ADMINISTRATOR Post-Award, Research Finance position: Responsibilities include: providing fiscal and administrative expertise in grants and contracts management; monitoring grant expenditures, subcontract invoices and grant personnel; educating Principal Investigators and departments in Grant Administration; filing fiscal reports, inclusive of wire transfers, cash management reports, financial status reports and grant requests; preparing indirect rate proposal, participating in OMB Circular A-133 audit, and interpreting and maintaining compliance with institutional and sponsor policies and regulations. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 5-6 years post-award sponsored program administration and 2-4 years fund or grant accounting experience is required. CPA, MS or MBA preferred. This position requires a working knowledge of OMB Circulars A-21, A-110, A-122, and A-133, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to interact with multiple levels internally and externally. Must be proficient with automated general ledger systems and Lotus 1-2-3 or Excel. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 5 years sponsored program administration or similar fund or grant accounting experience is required. Advanced degree in public administration or business preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of budget preparation and competence in quantitative software. In-depth knowledge of sponsored programs; relationships and working knowledge of budgetary and compliance requirements of major funding agencies. Also required are demonstrated writing and speaking sills and excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
