Staff Assistant/Fiscal Administrator
Grant & Contract Administration

Statement of Duties:  Under the direction of the Assistant Director,
responsible for proposal review and submission; review, negotiation and
recommendation for acceptance of awards; interpretation and
implementation of Federal, State and University regulations; assist
faculty and staff in all aspects of sponsored research.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in business or other related field and
1 to 3 year experience or 8 years experience in grant and contract
administration; combination of college education and experience may be
substituted for the degree requirement.  Previous experience in an
Institution of Higher Education desirable.  Demonstrated knowledge of
federal rules, regulations and policies governing administration of
grants and contracts required.  Strong oral and written communication
skills required.  Ability to work with precision under pressure and with
minimal supervision required.

Hiring Salary Range:  $30,400-$38,000; Normal Hiring Range:
$30,400-$34,200.  Professional staff salary Administration Program
Position Level 26.  SEIU Bargaining unit position.
