Re: FY Preliminary Statistics
At Long Beach State the number of proposals we sent off last FY went
down an insignificant amount (8, and we were down last year also by
about the same number), but the dollars and numbers of awards are both
up. Dollars are up 20%, number of awards about 10%. What makes me very
uneasy is the virtual shutdown in enthusiasm from the NEH and NEA
faculty constituencies, the probable block grant environment out here,
and band-wagon of program officers believing that cost-matching is good
for us and that in-kind contributions are auditable without reference to
the good folks over in Development. Have a good Saturday.
