IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A QUANTITATIVE HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCHER

The Institute for Research and Education HealthSystem Minnesota is searching
for a junior or senior
level professional with experience handling a wide variety of quantitative
analyses.  While designing and executing independent research projects and
providing biostatistical direction with regard to study design, duties
include:

 directing effectiveness research
 writing grant proposals and articles for peer-reviewed publication
 designing and performing statistical analyses
 supervising project managers and acting as project manager
 consulting on survey-based projects and analysis designs
 advising on research methodologies

This position requires a PhD in health services, biostatistics, sociology,
epidemiology or related field and prior academic and/or non-academic
experience, including project management experience and an understanding of
health care reform at the state and federal level.  In addition, we require
strong writing and communication skills, a command of statistical packages,
such as SAS, SPSS or BMDP, knowledge of word processing software, and the
ability to prepare and monitor a budget.

For the Senior position, we require supervisory experience and a track
record in successful grant applications and peer-reviewed publications.  We
prefer a background with questionnaire and item design and testing and
knowledge of psychometrics.
