Ray,
The Federal regulations concerning record retention and acess
requirements are covered in the A-110 Post-Award section, Subpart C_.53
You can acess this via the web at :
http://www.ucop.edu/raohome/circulars/a-110c.html
Basically the magic number is 3 years (with a few exceptions, like any good
federal program will
have).

The University System of NH is currently revising policies and procedures
for
record retention. We are looking for Universities that have established
policies as well as a listing of record retention timetables designated by
the
Federal Government. Any information would be greatly appreciated (web
addresses
would be great). Thanks a lot!
