We have a University Research Board .charged  by the
Chancellor with the responsibiltiy of creating an atmoshphere for the
encouragement of research and providing oversight, guidance, and
coordination of research activities. Currently, they are primarily a policy
development group and issue discussion group. They meet approximately
monthly.

We run a Faculty Research Program which offers summer support and
small "seed" grants for faculty. Traditionally the review of these
requests has been done by an "ad hoc" committee of peers.

Recently the URB members have expressed interest in becoming active
in the FRP review.
