       Ohio State is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic professional to be a
contracts officer and facilitator for the University's projects with business
and industry.  The individual will work with a small team of other experience
professionals and many other University officials.  This person is
responsible for preparing and negotiating contracts, resolving issues for
faculty and industrial clients, and building relationships with industrial
clients.
     The successful candidate will have industrial and/or university research
administration experience.  This includes facilitating the contracting process
for highly motivated, intelligent and demanding internal and external clients.
Knowledge of the issues surrounding project pricing, intellectual property,
proprietary information, ethics and risk management is important.  A
Master's degree or equivalent experience is required, while having a Ph.D. or
law degree and appropriate experience is preferred.
     This is a Senior Administrative & Professional Staff position.  Salary
range is approximately $41,000 - $56,000, depending on qualifications and
experience.
