I have just successfully subscribed to the AREA listserv for the second
time.  I have never received any messages from it however (other than the
"you have been successfully subscribed" authomatic reply).

I think it takes a SUBSCRIBE AREA-LIST command.

As of last July the owner was:   xxxxxx@XENON.CHE.ILSTU.EDU

I would be very interested in seeing this list become active -- I suppose I
ought to be more pro-active and send it a message!
