GRANTS AND CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR

SALARY:  $2,306.25 to $3,066.97

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Grants and Contracts Administrator is responsible
for the analysis and project initiation function for all incoming grants
and contracts assigned, as well as providing assistance to Project
Directors and others on administrative matters, interfacing with others
within the Foundation in understanding and facilitating project
activities and/or needs, preparing detailed financial projections of
program costs during the term of the award, providing interpretation and
guidance on grant/contract terms and conditions on an as needed basis,
negotiating with a wide range of sponsor needs, policies and procedures,
and initiating the close out activity on all grants and contracts
assigned.  The Grants and Contracts Administrator provides all services
with a  proactive customer service orientation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  B.S.  degree (in Business Administration,
Accounting, or other related field), or four years of experience in a
research education services function within an institution of higher
education or research foundation serving higher education or closely
related experience such as accounting or any combination of job-related
education and experience equal to four years, experience working in a
proactive customer service environment, experience using computerized
data bases/accounts and manipulating the data within these data bases,
the ability to clearly express ideas or position both verbally and in
writing, a high degree of flexibility and analytical talents, and the
capacity to function efficiently and calmly in situations which require a
high degree of tact and diplomacy.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:  The selection process may consist of an application

the applicant's skills, training, experience and personal qualifications
for this position.
