I just received some information from Research!America.  It is a pretty
comprehensive pamphlet and it comes with a great poster of C. Everett Koop
and underneath his picture it says:  "Warning nsufficient medical research
can be hazardous to your health." In their pamphlet they state:

"Research!America is a membership-based, not-for-profit (501)(c)(3), public
education and advocacy organization of over 350 academic institutions,
corporations, hopsitals, professional socities, voluntary health agencies
and individuals.  Research!America's objective is to incrase awareness of
the value of medical research and its significance in improving the quality
of life for all.  The overall mission of Research!America is to make
medical research a might higher national priority."
