Our office has been mailing proposals for faculty for years. We do it
unless the faculty member insists on doing it himself/herself.
Yes, it costs money and creates rush situations in our office.
But it also gives us more control over the quality of the finished
product, ensures that we have copies of what was sent, and impresses
on faculty that the submission of proposals is under our control.
