Re: Mailing of Proposals JoAnn Moretti 29 Feb 1996 09:56 EST

Most of the institutions I have worked at have offered
copying/mailing services within limits. If the application
arrives in x amount of days prior to deadline, then it gets
copied and mailed. After that it is the department's
responsibility. It seems to make sense in that central
offices are in a position to provide additional services
when it can manage the extra service and passes it back when
the deadline, usually two days before, gets really crazy.
It also reaffirms the message to faculty concerning our
ability to provide better service when we work together
 within reasonable timeframes.
