Position: Grants and Contracts Specialist
The University of Texas at Austin
Required Qualifications for the Vacancy: Bachelor's degree in business,
public administration, social sciences, natural sciences, or engineering.
Three years of experience in the preparation, processing, and negotiation
of research grant and contract proposals. Experience with sponsored
projects and negotiation of sponsored projects' awards.
Preferred Qualifications Include: More than three years of experience in
pre-award contracts and grants management. Working knowledge of accounting
procedures. Familiarity with Macintosh personal computers. Knowledge of
federal grant or contract regulations. Ability to use standard offfice
machines, including calculator or adding machine. Well developed
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently.
Proven attention to detail.
Essential Functions: Negotiate research grant proposals with sponsoring
agencies, process research grant proposals, and assist faculty in finding
funding sources.
Monthly salary is $2501 - $2675 depending upon qualifications, plus
excellent fringe benefits. Complete information on this vacancy will be
