I mailed the info yesterday so you should have it by the first of the
week.  Must admit that until you reminded me, I had forgotten about you
stopping by the University a few years ago.  Instead, I kept wondering
why your name sounded so familiar on the list messages.  I'm very glad
you enjoyed Alaska.  It has been my home for over 11 years now and I've
loved every minute of it.  However, the kids are grown and the last one
will be heading stateside for college soon so I've decided to return to
the "lower forty-eight."  Winter temperatures of -40 to -60 degrees and
the remote location are now more of a challenge than an adventure.  I've
been looking, rather idly, for another position stateside and will make
the move when I find something that I really like.  Meanwhile, my job
here is terrific (climate and location are the only wearing items on my
list) so I can afford to wait.

If you plan another trip north, please let me know.  The only thing we
love more than the long hours of daylight and the great summers is
showing off the state.  I'll be happy to give you some "inside" views
off the beaten tourist path.  If, by then, I've found a position
elsewhere, I can certainly "hook you up" with some friends who will do
it right for you.  My son is planning to stay in Alaska permanently (he
was "raised" on the east coast and likes the lifestyle here much better)
and my brother is on the Kenai peninsula - been there for over 30 years
now.
