 GRANT AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR III

The University of New Hampshire invites applications for the position of
Grant and Contract Administrator III within the Office of Sponsored
Research working within a team service model.

The successful candidate will join an organization with an annual award
volume of $40 million from 700 proposals.  We manage about 900 active
accounts annually with about $36 million in expenditures. The University
of New Hampshire is a land grant, sea grant, and space grant university
with approximately one-third of our total funding from NASA and NSF.

Responsibilities: The Grant and Contract Administrator III is responsible
for proposal review through award close-out for a wide variety of sponsors.
Specific duties include proposal and budget preparation and review;
negotiation of awards including administrative, financial and legal terms;
establishment and administration of subcontracts, as appropriate; post-
award financial administration including review and approval of award
expenditures, compliance with agency requirements, obtaining sponsor
approvals, all taskd necessary to close grant/contract accounts;
participation in development of new systems; produce management reports;
participate in site visits and audits; establish and maintain effective
working relationships with department grants managers; act on behalf of
the supervisor as required.

Qualifications: Master's degree in field related to business or finance
and three years of experience in sponsored programs administration
including grant and contract negotiations in an academic environment or
Bachelor's degree in field related to finance or business and five years
of similar related experience.

Applicant must have knowledge of Federal government and private agency
regulations and policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations
and supplements as they relate to major government contracts. Experience
with NASA is highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communications,
financial and negotiating skills are required. Supervisory ability.
Ability to work effectively at a high professional level. Personal
computer (MAC preferred) experience with database, word-processing and
spreadsheet applications are required.  Applicant must be able to work
in a team environment.

Salary: $38,980 to $60,160; starting salary normally not to exceed $44,280.
