FROM THE CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE DIRECTOR:
The position of Director of Sponsored Programs and Research at
Saint Xavier University in Chicago represents a newly-created
office, initiated by a relatively new administration, including
university president and academic vice president. The new
director will receive their enthusiastic support in developing the
office.
Another very positive aspect of this position involves the
excitement and anticipation of a faculty that has not had this
type of support until now. The firmly-established Center for
Educational Practice is run completely by faculty. This committee
will work closely with the Director to identify and support
faculty in their grantwriting efforts.. New office space has been
allocated to jointly house the Director of Sponsored Programs and
Research, support staff, and the Center for Educational Practice.
This reflects our firm commitment to establishing a strong
positive relationship between the faculty and the sponsored
programs office as soon as the new director comes on board.
NOTE: This faculty member and Center director, Julie McNellis, is
also co-chair of the search committee and will respond to
questions about the position via e-mail (xxxxxx@sxu.edu) or
telephone (312-298-3145).
