The Community of Science seems to offer only limited
service for free, with additional service available at
some hefty subscription rates. Try the GPO page at
http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/ I've been very
satisfied with it. Full search of Federal Register and
Congressional Record with many other publications. GPO
offers ASCII as well as .pdf formats. Using Adobe
Acrobat, I can print pages exactly as they appear in the
print version.
GPO must be losing money on their print subscriptions --
can't think of any other reason they'd offer this great
service for free. Print or other subscription service is
still the way to go if an office needs to archive the
documents, but for daily updates and occasional
distribution of notices, this is a splendid way to use the
Internet and save $$$ on subscriptions.
