OH my !  These results will take me a while to compile.....

I will say that proposal numbering is a task accomplished a million-and-one
ways!

Some methods are ingenious, tacking at the department, college, pi,
revision, and budget year -- all in a glance??????

Most of all, the replies indicate adequate proposal "marking" systems...

So, if it ain't broken......   well, you know.

RAMS, inc. will allow for institutional flexibility for defining a keyed
"singular" system or a varied format incremental system.  We have also
identified technology which will allow the institution to modify screens and
actions without working with the software supplier to modify source code.
