Last week we submitted a proposal to the Field Initiated Studies Grant
Program at the Dep't of Education.  Today UPS brought it back with
"Government Shutdown" stamped on it.  I had thought that ED was
accepting packages during the shutdown and storing them until they
reopened.  Obviously I was wrong--anybody know what procedures
they intend to follow?  Any news about when they will reopen, given the
semi-deals reached over the weekend?
