Barbara:

Could you explain the reasoning behind using 12.5% of a faculty
member's salary as the charge to sponsors to  buy out a
course?  We also have an average 12 hour load (or four 3-hour
courses).  We either charge 25% of a faculty member's salary per
released course or the departmental adjunct rate.
