One thing that I do is to send a flyer to faculty and administrators on gold
colored paper with a pot of gold and rainbow graphic announcing grants that
faculty members receive.  May sound a bit "hokey" but faculty members really
 like
it.  They often write notes of congratulations on it and send it to the grant
recipient.  Some ask when they get a grant if they now get a "golden rainbow."
 Of
course ours is a small campus so I don't know how practical this would be on a
larger campus.
