Does anyone know whether or not there are federal requirements governing the
use and safety of lasers in research laboratories.  I know that at one time
hospital accrediting agencies required review of laser protocols to ensure
personnel and patient safety, but I do not know whether there are or were
similar requirements for laser use in laboratories.  Can anyone help?
