Director, Office of Technology Transfer Office
Indiana University is accepting applications for the position of Director,
Office of Technology Transfer. The incumbent will develop, encourage,
and solicit disclosures of new inventions and new technologies resulting
from research conducted on all eight campuses of Indiana University, with
primary focus on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses. The Director
will conduct a technology transfer awareness program; work with
researchers to identify commercially-viable research advancements;
implement the University intellectual property policy; serve as liaison
between inventors and other units of the University; work with the IU
Foundation to coordinate the protection of new technologies and develop
licensing arrangements to promote the marketing of new technologies.
Qualifications: Bacherlor's degree required, preferably in biological,
physical or computer sciences; advanced degree or professional degree
strongly preferred. Strong analytical, communicative, and interpersonal
skills essential, in addition to a general knowledge of intellectal
property law and the technology transfer process. Applicant should have
5 years experience in technology transfer or related fields. Salary:
