I agree with Ann Kratz--we, too, have an excellent working relationship
between Sponsored Programs and our Foundation--and the Foundation is even in
the midst of a big campaign and anxious to meet their goal.  So much depends
on the personalities--and egos--involved!  Perhaps because some development
officers' job security is related to dollars brought in, they can become
greedy.  But that's definitely not the case in our institution.
