Individuals in the New England area will have an opportunity to attend a 2-day
conference featuring several top officials from NSF. The conference, which will
be held at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Mass. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 1995,
will feature an NSF grant proposal workshop; break-out sessions focusing on
specific NSF grant programs; discussion of new NSF initiatives; a session on
grant administration, compliance, and accountability; a demonstration of NSF's
electronic research administration projects; merit review; and several other
topics - all led by NSF officials and program officers. The conference is being
hosted by NCURA-Region I, and should be of interest to faculty and research
administrators alike.

The conference fee of $100 includes conference materials, continental
breakfasts both mornings, and a luncheon and evening reception Thursday, Nov.
30th. Anyone who has not yet requested registration materials can receive them
