Electronic Research Administration

I am writing on behalf of a university/government task force that has been
charged with identifying initiatives in the area of Electronic Research
Administration (ERA).
We would like to catalog, as best we can, the various ERA initiatives
currently being worked on in academia, government, and industry. We are
especially interested in those efforts that could be used as national
models. In addition, we would like to assemble a directory of "experts" in
the area of ERA.
I know about the visible initiatives, like NSF Fastlane, Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI), the NIH initiatives, and DOE/FEDIX, but I would
appreciate any assistance this list could provide identifying others. If
you know of effective initiatives to automate pre- or post-award research
administration, please forward a description to me. Also, if you know of
experts in the area of ERA who would be willing to share their knowledge,
please let me know their names.
Since this question may produce a high volume of responses, please send your
replies directly to my attention at xxxxxx@po.cwru.edu.
Thanks!
Jim
