RESADM-L Readership:
I am currently serving on a team of research administrators and support
staff which has the task of developing a formal plan for the identification
and  training of new hires in research administration and the continuous
training of existing research "administrators" for the Vice-Chancellor of
Research at NCSU. The team is sure that this need has been identified
and dealt with by other institutions and we would appreciate any
information that  you would be willing to share with us.  We are
particularly interested in any formal protocols that have been devised to
provide training to new people in both pre- and post-award research
admin. and to insure that existing personnel are given opportunities to
enhance their res. admin. skills.
