Diane, the U.S. Code and Public laws (from the 104th Congress forward,
1994-1995) databases are available online from the Superintendent of
Documents, Government Publcations Office, at
http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/. These are subscription services. The GPO
Access Support Team  sells a specialized WAIS software for $15, which
provides excellent search capabilities.
