You are invited to participate in the upcoming national conference
"Contemporary Human Subject Issues in Academic Research" sponsored by
NIH, FDA, and NIMH.  The Mississippi Research Consortium (Mississippi
State University, Jackson State University, The University of
Mississippi, and University of Southern Mississippi) and The
University of Mississippi Medical Center are hosting the conference
to be held September 18-19 at The University of Mississippi in
Oxford, Mississippi.  Represented at the conference will be staff
members from NIH, FDA, and NIMH as well as distinguished members of
the academic and clinical research community.

The seminar will include a discussion of "Inclusion of Women and
Minorities," "History & Evolution of Human Subjects," Organizing
IRBs," "Legal Issues and Concerns," "Issues in Mental Health and
Behavioral Research," and "Ask the IRB Administrators" Q & A session
and other topics of interest to those conducting research with human
subjects.
