I've been talking with a woman from the Franklin Institute who is
planning what seems to be a very interesting conference for those
involved in nominating people for distinguished awards and for
organizations offering distinguished awards.  Tentative sessions
include advice on nominating candidates for distinguished awards,
presentations from successful nominators, a look at various selection
processes, how to establish and maintain an awards program.
