Many universities have Research Centers on their campuses.  In genera
these Centers have been established to encourage faculty and student
participation in research and service activities and help the university
gain visibility both internally and externally.  We have several Centers
and are trying to assess certain procedures.  I wonder if this group
is willing to share the following-

1. What criteria do you use for evaluating the operation of the Center?

2. What are the reporting requirements?  Annual report?  Oral presentations?

3. What are the procedures for (1) approval (2) termination of a Center?

I will be willing to send the information to those who might miss receiving
the responses that appear on the bulletin board.
