IMPLEMENTATION OF FINANCIAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY TAMMY GOLDBERG, OFFICE OF VPRPS 04 Aug 1995 11:14 EST

Hi everyone,

At the University of New Hampshire we have "finished" (for now?) our
policy on financial conflict of interest in research. We're now facing
the nasty details of implementation. Can you tell me:

1. Has your institution elected annual or "with every proposal"
disclosures? Are you happy with your choice? Any major
 drawbacks or benefits?

2. Are you defining for your institution the term "investigator"?
I understand the government's reluctance to do so, and have
followed the previous discussions within this group. Are we really
to hold a proposal because that one last graduate student hasn't
 brought over his form?

Thank you very much for any advice or experience you might be able to
impart.
