Eric - evidently you fell into the trap of all newcomers to the list.
When you post to the list you get an error message.  This does not mean
that your message didn't get posted.  Its just one of the idiosyncrasies
of the system.  If you would like confirmation that your message was
posted, the list manager can give you instructions for setting an echo
which will allow you to see the messages you post (default is that you
don't see your own message).

What, by the way, are you doing on line at this time of night?  I thought
only Alaskas were up at this time.
