According to Doug Sabel in our Contracts Office here at Purdue:

"We have filed several UCC-1 forms in conjunction with the DOC program
referred to in this message. Purdue has received satellite dishes for
the AGSAT program which required the UCC-1. We have also received
studio equipment for the WBAA radio station that required the UCC-1.
Martha is correct that the govt retains a lien on the equipment for
10 years. We haven't had any problems with this."
